Role & Responsibility

A senior member of the Business Insights team, driving the charge on data lake implementations and use cases; a strong technical grounding and experience on data warehousing / modeling; owning client relationships, team management, and project management best practices.

Experience: 7 to 10 years

Drive technical excellence:

· Knowledgeable in solution architecture and implementation of large and complex data analytics platforms, especially using Microsoft Azure services and other tools

· Understanding of business requirements, translating them into technical designs, deal with complexities of integration of disparate systems

· Analyze and understand enterprise reporting needs across the organization. Identify and analyses source data (both internal and external) that is necessary to fulfil business intelligence needs.

· Experience in working with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Analytics for creating multiple pipelines and activities for full and incremental data loads into Azure Data Lake Store, Azure SQL DW and Azure Synapse DW

· Working experience with Databricks, Spark framework as well as experience optimizing PySpark queries

· Experience on Azure Data Lake Storage and working with CSV/ XML/ JSON/ Parquet files

· Azure experience in designing and implementing redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets

· Design of conceptual/ logical/ physical entity relationship and/ or relational models and knowledge of Star and Snowflake multidimensional models for EDW/ DL

· Develop, test, operate and support the end-to-end batch, near real time data and analytics solution

· Must be familiar with building stream pipelines to leverage IoT Hub, Event Hub, Databricks streaming and other Azure stream technologies

· Performs thorough code reviews of fellow developers and ensure quality code. (Guide the development and maintenance of data standards, data models in alignment with the solution architecture.)

· Use DevOps knowledge, cloud and data engineering expertise to operate, monitor and troubleshoot the pipelines / code bases

· Proactively collaborate and support the team if needed during the whole sprint cycle

· Provide technical design, coding assistance to the team to accomplish the project deliverables as planned/scoped.

· Work closely with Cloud administrator, DevOps manager, database administrator, ETL, and BI development staff to optimize overall design at an enterprise level.

· Formulates and recommends standards for achieving maximum performance and efficiency of the DW ecosystem.

· Setting development standards & producing design documentation & ensure other technical requirements such as performance, maintainability, and scalability

Good-to-have skills:

· Analyze information to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, determine the accuracy of reports, and monitor the efficiency and security of operations.

· Investigate the quality of the data in systems and put it all together so it can be accessed, manipulated and turned into business intelligence using SQL/ Pl-SQL Scripts

· Enable self-service BI and visual discovery while helping to change Excel based culture.

· Knowledge of assessing data quality, integrity and reliability throughout the department by designing and promoting best practices.

Client relationship building and management:

· Establish and sustain long-term profitable client relationships that drive value creation, delivery excellence and a positive client work environment.

· Leads the client lifecycle from initial contact through delivery.

· Manages client expectations and client satisfaction. Acts as an advisor and partner to the client.

· Works with the client to minimize delivery disruptions and effectively manages client urgencies.

· Clearly communicate and explain concepts to senior stakeholders and key teams during sprint reviews and other program meetings
