Background

Our tax automation team collaborates closely with clients and client-facing teams to develop automation solutions for various client use cases. This team operates as a separate vertical within the Tax department and offers significant growth opportunities. Led by Senior Tax and Technology professionals with extensive experience in consulting firms, our team aims to create innovative solutions at the intersection of tax and technology.

We are actively seeking professionals with Python and Alteryx experience to join our Tax automation team. Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for building tax applications that automate complex processes in direct and indirect taxes for tax clients. They will collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of working on cross-technology integrations.

Skills and Attributes for Success (Requirements):

Primary (Must-Have):

Expert knowledge and experience with data science libraries like NumPy, Pandas, etc.
Strong understanding of web scraping using requests, urllib, Beautiful Soup, etc.
Hands-on experience in data extraction from PDFs, images, and text (using OCR technology) using offline and online tools such as Tesseract, Google Vision OCR, Abbyy, etc.
Experience with any of the Python web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
Ability to solve complex patterns using techniques like Regex, fuzzy logic, and others.
Well-understood knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium with Robot and API automation.
Proficiency in writing efficient, robust, and reusable code while adhering to Python coding standards.
Expertise in object-oriented programming (OOPs) concepts.
Understanding of multithreading, multiprocessing, and memory management.
Good grasp of front-end technologies including web-based HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.

Secondary (Good to Have):

Experience in developing Alteryx apps and gallery-oriented workflows.
Certification in Alteryx would be a plus.
Familiarity with linking Alteryx to multiple data sources.
Full understanding of data cleansing, data transformation, and data quality processes using ETL tools in Alteryx.
Ability to write complex queries with multiple joins to automate and manipulate data using Alteryx.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have (Certification & Experience):

A BE/BTech degree in IT/Computer Science, or BCA, or BSc degree in Computer Science, or any graduation degree with Analytics Course Certifications.
3-5 years of work experience in relevant fields.

Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
High flexibility, adaptability, and creativity.
Comfort with interacting with senior executives.
