Job Description

Key accountabilities include:
Experienced Scrum master with agile delivery with experience in executing IT Infra projects having 12-14 years of IT experience in project delivery.
PMP Certified Candidates with exposure in running IT projects, Management of multiple and diverse stakeholders and sponsors. Identification and tracking of benefits may be difficult to quantify.
Influence strategy and shape the programme approach across a series of projects or component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes.
Drive programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks.
Lead definition of staffing, responsibilities, and schedules.
Establish effective financial management controls and to be tracked weekly, monthly and quarterly.
Manage relationships with external suppliers and project key stakeholders
Report progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization.
Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the programme aligns to the change portfolio across HSBC.
Drive the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with HSBC methodology at all times.
Scrum Events: Facilitate daily standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement & Retrospectives
Board administration: Work as the administrator of the scrum board. Ensure that cards are up to date and the scrum tools like Jira are working well.
1 on 1s: Meet individually with team members and stakeholders as needed. Iron out team disagreements about process and work styles. Many scrum practitioners oppose 1on1, believing these communications should happen during standups. However, new teams often prefer to have these regular face-to-face interactions with specific team members. The scrum master may decide that these individual interactions are crucial for team development and getting to know one another.
Reporting: Regular analysis of burndown charts and other portfolio planning tools to understand what gets built and at what cadence.
Blockers: The scrum master aids the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements.
Mandatory to have JIRA experience to drive projects until closure.
