Role Name: Junior Software Engineer

Desired Experience Range: 3 TO 10years

Location of Requirement: Hyderabad

Must-Have:

•2+ years’ coding experience and be proficient on web development in either Java/JavaScript, or Python.

•Knowledge of frontend web framework like Angular, Jquery, React, GWT etc..

•2+ years’ of hands on experience at least one RDBMS (Sybase ASE ,SQL Server or PostgreSQL).

•Financial database maintenance and support experience is a plus.

•Familiarity with Linux/Unix platform, and web application servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx), and DevOps tools. (e.g. CI/CD, GIT, etc.).

•Good understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented design.

•Familiar with Agile development process and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc.).

•Strong sense of core system support and customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

•Demonstrates knowledge of technologies within LSEG and how they relate to various parts of the business.

•Work on any number of projects that may include: creating new web tools for data feeds, working with data analysts to enhance the existing web tools, refactoring data flow processes, performing support of existing system, performing bug fixes, and prototyping new systems on new hardware.

•Executes on the delivery of given tasks with some guidance and oversight.

•Develops tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code, may also review others' code when required.

•Develops knowledge and expertise in software development and develops knowledge of other domains to understand linkages and dependencies.

•Builds trusting relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with team.

•Communicates with clarity and precision in a concise format.

•Takes initiative to develop knowledge in technology products and tools through on the job learning, certifications and projects.
