A Pre-sales Technical Consultant will be responsible for technical enablement and providing technical/pre-sales help to Account Managers, System Engineers, and other members of field sales teams for driving product sales.
Job Responsibilities
Work with field sales teams to position appropriate Cisco Service Provider solutions and establish value proposition in a competitive environment. Provide Competitive Positioning against other Competitive OEMs to help AT/AM/SE drive Wins for Cisco.
Key Skills Required:
• Experience in Enterprise Networking (Switching, Routing, Wireless, SDWAN) OR Security OR Data Center
• Experience with Cisco Wireless Products - WLC (Wireless LAN Controllers), Access Points (AP), MSE, CMX, Prime Infrastructure (PI) etc
• Basic understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards (a, b, g), 802.1x, Wi-Fi
• Knowledge on Routing and Switching Protocols/Technologies like IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN
• Knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching Platforms like Cisco ISR/ASR, Catalyst, Meraki
Educate field sales staff on technical capabilities and features of proposed Cisco solutions & products.
Contribute to build and maintain healthy sales pipeline.
Having clear understanding of complementary SKU to create Bill of Material (BOM/BOQ) and present to sales organization.
Develop over all technical & communications competency for successful pre-sales technical support to field sales organization.
Building Influential Relationships: Working collaboratively with customers, channel partners, and account team members to meet business goals and objectives.
Effectively deliver on-site or off-site enablement & KT sessions to drive product awareness and increase adoption rates.
Engage with Sales team to participate in conference/TP calls with customer/partners for opportunity & synergy discussions.
Martian and present KPI and statistical data for sales performance, Win/Loss analysis and revenue as and when required.
