Job description

Will be responsible for interacting with inventors and key stake holders and assisting them in preparing invention disclosure. The role also entails conducting searches which include patentability search, Freedom to operate search, validity search etc. The main purpose is to handle the technical aspects of the patent, trademark and copyright applications.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Understanding the validity of the patent by searching for prior art and comprehending patent claims.

2. Experience – 5-7 years

3. Leading a team and managing multiple research projects from start to end

4. Conducting patentability search and mapping the invention disclosure with the prior art.

5. Understanding the client business and requirements and developing tailored solutions to address their unique and complex business & IP needs.

6. Project quality assurance and increasing customer satisfaction & brand stickiness.

7. Understanding freedom to operate for patent by finding any infringing products and analyse the applicable jurisdiction and its enforceability.

8. Creating best practices & training modules. Training of people in the operations and sales team.

9. Identifying the status of trademark applications and conducting trademark search.

10. Any other work allocated by the engagement manager.

11. Work with external IP attorneys to register and maintain registered IP.

12. Meeting deadlines for submissions, renewals, and other documentation filings.

13. Organizing documentation for, and assisting with, intellectual property litigation and due diligence.

14. Patent Search (Orbit, Innography, Patbase, XLPAT, Derwent Innovation, IPLytics, Anaqua,and many more)

15. Developing and maintaining database of intellectual property records and filings, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and domains.

16. Preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, liaising with inventors to develop a detailed understanding of inventions.

17. Any other work allocated by the engagement manager.
