Job Description

As a Senior Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with Ring and Blink business and product teams to set and deliver the wireless connectivity and networking software stack. You will build and lead multiple teams of Software and QA Engineers in the design, development, test and deployment of our connectivity software. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing wireless protocol software with strong technical ability and excellent project management skills. Key job responsibilities
- Hire, support and develop a team of exceptional software developers and QA engineers
- Define the multi-year vision and strategy for the team working with leaders and principal engineers
- Manage resource allocation to meet our business goals
- Manage the connectivity software lifecycle of deliverables from concept to operations
- Work with teams and vendors to improve and tailor existing drivers, stack and applications to business and customer needs.- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
- - Proven track record with embedded Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE and TCP/IP Networking software
- - Experienced with Linux kernel and the development and debugging of Wi-Fi drivers, supplicant and TCP/IP
- - Development experience on Linux and RTOS platforms
- - Knowledge of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth coexistence
- - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
