Job Description

Amazon is a global organization at the forefront of the digital economy and offers a great opportunity for a dynamic and experienced indirect tax professional to manage the Amazon's India GST compliance function.
The Tax Manager will work on indirect tax compliance, audit, litigation and provisioning functions for some key Amazon India group entities. The tax manager manager will work with internal and external business partners, identify and implement process improvement opportunities and drive positive change across the organization.

Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities
• Managing day to day GST compliance reporting for some key Amazon group entities
• Working closely with cross function teams and designing or improving tax compliant processes
• Owning the process and work related to indirect tax audit and designing framework for assessment readiness
• Interfacing with tax authorities as may be required for managing audits/ investigations
• Setting up of data warehouse and Information Management framework
• Evaluating the tax effect and implications of business initiatives, contemplated transactions, and business proposals, from a tax compliance and audit perspective
• Reviewing tax accounting, provisioning and leading interactions with internal and statutory auditors
• Working on various projects impacting the future strategy of the indirect tax function to minimize/mitigate adverse litigation
• Publishing trackers and dashboards on key tax risks and exceptions and working on the FAS-5 process to assist with identifying potential issues that may lead to litigation and evaluating existing issues to identify the need for provision/ reserves
• Working with internal stakeholders to gather required information for effective management of audit and litigation process- A qualified Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of Indirect Tax Compliance and Audit experience
- 3+ years of managing audit representation before GST authorities
- 5+ Years of managing high impact Tax Compliance projects.
