To support AWD’s rapid growth, we are hiring a Senior UX Designer to redefine the seller experience with intuitive, innovative design solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of understanding seller needs and crafting seamless, user-centric experiences across platforms and touch points. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, researchers, and content writers, to design solutions that empower sellers and drive AWD’s continued success.

Key job responsibilities
- Bring forward innovative ideas and solutions and raise the bar on sellers' experience in managing their inventory, shipments, orders and distributions.
- Effectively advocate and design for the customer through gathering and using objective data such as customer insights, market analysis, balancing design with technical constraints/opportunities and business insights.
- Partner closely with business and engineering teams to plan and balance immediate changes with long-term, scalable solutions.
- Quickly and thoroughly creating user flows, wire frames, visual designs, and prototypes to effectively concept and communicate detailed interaction behaviors that support decision making and development.
- Conduct user research to test design concepts, gathering user feedback, and effectively incorporate user insights into design solutions. Proactively initiate, plan and prioritize design roadmap based on user research insights and interpreting analytic data.
- Present design work to UX partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders.
- Models behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in their team.
- Be a champion for user-centered design culture and best practices in the design team and for cross-functional teams, help the UX team adopt best practices.

A day in the life
As a Senior UX Designer on the AWD team, you'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, UX design and user research, collaborating across global teams to shape impactful user experiences. Your typical day involves close partnership with engineering and product teams in India and Bellevue, as well as fellow UX designers, researchers and writers across locations to drive design solutions from concept to implementation. This role offers unique opportunities to influence core design decisions while working hands-on to deliver exceptional user experiences through close collaboration with cross-functional partners.

About the team
As part of the rapidly growing Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) business, our UX team plays a pivotal role in transforming the way businesses streamline their supply chain. Our UX team is small, agile, and deeply embedded within AWD, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders on a daily basis. We also work with multiple cross-organizational UX teams across Amazon to align on larger initiatives to deliver cohesive, user-centered solutions. We thrive on solving complex challenges, driving innovation, and creating seamless experiences that empower sellers and merchants.- 8+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design
- Knowledge of usability principles and techniques
- Experience in qualitative user research
