Job Description

Datastage admin to provisioning user accounts, access, installing Datastage on Linux or Windows Servers.
• Installation, Configuration, and Upgrades:
• Install, configure, and upgrade IBM InfoSphere DataStage (IIS) and related products.
• Configure DataStage for various data sources, including plug-ins, connectors, and ODBC configurations.
• Manage and maintain the DataStage environment, including servers and infrastructure.
• User and Security Management:
• Create, manage, and delete DataStage projects.
• Assign roles and permissions to users within the DataStage environment.
• Manage user access and security, including creating users and groups.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
• Monitor the performance of DataStage jobs and processes.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Implement performance tuning techniques.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
• Diagnose and resolve DataStage issues, including job failures, locks, and other problems.
• Work with IBM support to resolve complex issues.

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and processes.
• Experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage (IIS).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with SQL and databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Tools and Technologies:
• IBM InfoSphere DataStage (IIS).
• DataStage Director.
• DataStage Administrator client.
• Linux/Unix.
• Scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Database tools and technologies.
