Product Manager for Cloud Monitoring

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Product Manager in IBM Cloud you will focus on collecting feedback from customers and sellers and staying current on competitors and market trends in the Cloud Observability space. Using this knowledge, you will set business plans that align with IBM strategies, initiatives, and revenue goals. You will work with IBM development leaders and our monitoring business partner to define product roadmaps, track delivery, communicate results, and drive messaging to the market. You will collect feedback from customers and monitor business results to refine priorities and pricing. You will work closely with our monitoring business partner to ensure compliance with IBM standards and effective communications. You will work with other Cloud Product Managers to integrate, enhance, and grow our strategic Cloud Observability offerings.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 5+ years' experience in Product Management or equivalent practical experience building or deploying products in a Cloud based software organization.
  • 3+ years' experience working in the Cloud or IT industry preferably related to Platform, SaaS application software deployment or integrations.
  • Understanding of product management lifecycle and practices
  • Has a challenging mindset that will question processes and procedures and constantly strive to simplify and improve delivery and increase speed to market.
  • Able to work autonomously and take balanced decisions.
  • Strong communicator able to manage a wide audience at all levels of the organization through delivering simple and business driven messages.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills with ability to bring these to bear in all decision making.
  • Positive can-do mind-set that is undaunted by challenges and relishes fixing and improving processes
  • Good customer facing skills and able to manage client expectations.
  • Able to build broad relationships and coalitions across the organization and to align different stakeholder to a common goal and vision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions and low-level technical discussions.
  • Understanding of cloud offering capabilities and security, compliance and regulatory landscape for IBM Cloud.
  • Practical knowledge of GTM strategy and working with marketing and sales.
  • Track record of high-quality, self-directed, timely execution, and attention to detail.
