Introduction As a LinuxONE Cloud Infrastructure Administrator, you will have the opportunity to shape and transform the digital experience of our large and thriving LinuxONE hands-on Community Cloud as part of the global IBM Z Ecosystem and take it to new heights! In addition, you must have expertise as a Linux and LinuxONE administrator with specific advanced knowledge of Red Hat, SUSE and Ubuntu distributions with advanced skills in scripting, root cause log analysis, ldap, databases, OpenStack, KVM, APIs and a variety of open source products such as Nginx, MariaDB, Apache, Java and Javascript. A strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize and manage a complex workload are essential.
As a Linux / LinuxONE Infrastructure Administrator, you will be an essential part of the team, that designs, develops and manages client-facing digital platforms with compliance to IBM digital marketing and business guidelines.
Your Role and Responsibilities You will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing new features and functionality for digital platforms
Ensuring high-performance and availability of platforms features and APIs
Closely working with other teams, including marketing to ensure SEO, design, security standards & legal requirements are met
Integrating with other existing systems through APIs and middleware layer
Partnering with stakeholders to determine and implement digital strategies that serve as a basis for achieving user experience objectives and business metrics
Managing digital reporting and tracking requirements to support programs as required, spanning activities and events registrations, form creation, usage, participation, gamification, etc. Conduct analysis of data and trends for executive level reporting
Developing and managing various aspects of digital platforms related to usability, functions/features and user interface from a design perspective, working with internal stakeholders
Sharing best practices and insights with internal / external stakeholders and gain alignment as needed for implementation and testing of new digital function/features
Providing oversight for digital experience and governance; making recommendations to increase digital efficiencies, improve or resolve operational issues, extend digital reach, and improve ROI (e.g. digital outage contingencies, digital site compliance, leverage best practices and programmatic approaches, etc)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Expert in Linux Administration and infrastructure support (5+ years, Senior level)
Expert working knowledge of Red Hat, SUSE and Ubuntu Linux Distributions (5+ years, Senior level)
Expert knowledge of Linux scripting to support automations (5+ years, Senior level)
Expert in root cause log analysis (5+ years, Senior level)
Expert in OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure support (5+ years, Senior level)
Experience with open source database, webservers and ldap
Experience with KVM configuration and support
Experience & knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and their security/sessions/logging aspects
Experience in integration with 3rd party platforms/solution through REST APIs
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Comfortable with settings up and working with web servers and database layer
Experience in Cloud and Open Source development processes and tools
At least 5-years of experience as a System Administrator
Proven problem solving skills

Highly self-motivated and resourceful
Aptitude to learn and apply knowledge quickly
Readiness to work in US Eastern time zone
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Working knowledge of IBM Z and LinuxONE
Red Hat Open Shift infrastructure set up, design and support
Working knowledge of Nginx, Java, MariaDB and other open source technologies
Agile Scrum expertise
Jira experience
