You have a keen awareness and understanding of the security and compliance market for IT, while keeping abreast of rapidly evoving compliance frameworks and standards – both globally and regionally. You have smarts to be proactive in identifying compliance gaps and opportunities, planning an optimal roadmap to address improvement opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on those plans.
As a Platform Compliance Advisory Product Manager at IBM Cloud, you will create a strategy for the Platform compliance standards and develop an outcome based roadmap within the framework of IBM Cloud compliance program. You will facilitate the delivery of roadmap elements, collaborations, and decisions that facilitate achieving planned compliance outcomes. You’ll join IBM Cloud office in Bangalore, where we collaborate with our development, design and sales team, learn from each other, and build our cloud community.
What you’ll do
Own the strategy and vision for security, resiliency and platform compliance requirements for target market and industries, ensuring its alignment with IBM Cloud business objectives
Explore and analyze security, resiliency and platform compliance priorities for the target market and industries
Develop and articulate a point of view on market opportunity and approach for platform compliance requirements
Develop an optimal roadmap for security, resiliency and platform compliance programs
Create business plan specifying investment requirements and expected outcomes by route to market
Lead cross-functional execution against business plan to complete platform compliance programs and ensure go to market enablement and delivery readiness
Assess platform compliance program performance in meeting planned outcomes and address gaps
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders, including engineering, design, sales, marketing, analysts, ecosystem partners, to achieve platform compliance objectives that aligns with business objectives and user needs
Champion platform compliance program understanding and successfully manage compliance program communication from start to completion with minimal oversight
Guide associate product managers and participate in compliance program reviews to convey status and results
Demonstrate committed and respectful collaboration between members of cross-functional teams and be part of promoting a positive team culture and work environment
Sustain expertise on the security and platform compliance standards and requirements for target market and industries
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
5+ years experience in Product Management or equivalent practical experience building or deploying products in a Cloud based software organization
10+ years experience working in the Cloud Platform or IT industry
5+ years experience working in Regulatory, Security and Compliance areas for Cloud
3+ years experience in security and compliance standards, regulations and framework like ISO 27001, NIST SP800-53, PCI-DSS, HIPAA
Knowledge of the cloud platform market segment – technologies, best practices, vendors, and competitive landscape
Hands-on, data-driven approach, and an ability to work concurrently on several projects
Cross-functional leadership experience across development, operations, design, support, sales, product marketing, marketing, and partners
Strategic thinking with ability to untangle complex information and share it across teams in a digestible format, aligning compliance goals with business goal
Experience in implementing agile practices and design thinking
Excellent communication and storytelling skills in English
Ability to work from the office in Bangalore
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Master’s in Business Administration
Experience working in the regulated industry segments like BFSI, Healthcare, Telecom
Certifications like CISA, CISSP, CCSK, CCSP
Track record of high-quality, self-directed, timely execution, and attention to detail.
Technical expertise and ability to communicate, work & build trust with stakeholders
Experience in Public Cloud compliance programs
Desire to make the best products in the industry hands-down
