Being a trusted partner and talent hub, MBS aims to create solutions, integrate processes cost-competitively and service-oriented.As part of MBS Hub Strategy, Head of Accounting & Finance Operations will aim to provide smooth and efficient Accounting and Finance solutions, steering performance and managing service in a fast, high-quality, and efficient manner.Accounting & Finance Operations may include Record2Report (General and Subledger accounting), Invoice2Cash, Master Data, Inquiry management. Key accountability:The Head of Accounting Operations & ABP is responsible for the financial governance of the full serviced companies, complying with all internal local and corporate policies as well as all external statutory, regulatory and fiscal requirements.The Head of Accounting Operations & ABP drives finance process excellence taking simplification, harmonization and efficiency into consideration. Cooperate closely with the closing services and are responsible to release the master package after final review.The Head of Accounting Operations & ABP provides the requested financial support to the CFO’s, Group Accounting, and other relevant functions and acts as financial advisor for accounting, tax and treasury related topics taking financial governance into consideration How you will contribute:STRATEGYDevelop and execute a comprehensive Accounting & Finance operations strategy in the Hub aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Provide visionary leadership to the operations team, driving continuous improvement, innovation, data integrity, best practices, and cost efficiency of the operations. Position Accounting & Finance operations as a trusted partner, manage stakeholders efficiently.GOVERNANCECreate efficient organizational structure focusing on core skills for better and faster decision-making, operations, and improvement. Maintain and continuously improve the span of control. Understand alignment need within MBS (e.g., Functional Solution, CAO) and outside MBS (e.g., Enabling Functions).PERFORMANCEBuild performance transparency and steer service delivery of the Accounting & Finance operations based on data, reaching agreed KPIs and productivity targets. Understand the business need and deliver service based on the requirement. Establish sustainable Daily management, Problem solving and Performance management process. Drive performance improvements in the Hub and cross functionally. Ensure adherence to the SOPs, policies etc. and improve quality and compliance of the delivered service. Drive quality, user experience and effectiveness across the organization E2E by working with relevant business stakeholders.PROCESS Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions, optimize end-to-end operation.CAPABILITY & COMPETENCECreate a talent hub, understand the upskilling need, develop teams to be true solution partner, develop learning journeys for SMEs in operations, drive best practice sharing, knowledge sharing.PEOPLE & CULTUREEffectively communicate company’s goals, strategies, and performance targets to the operational teams. Strategic impact:Guide the team to leverage the power of technology and LEAN management to achieve efficiency and effectiveness goals.Contribute to the standardization of the Accounting and Finance process from a global view.Build up proper interface and strong partnership with internal and external stakeholders.Oversee the operations of the Accounting and Closing teams in the hub on a daily basis to ensure realization of service objectives within set guidelines/policies.Manage your teams to provide internal customers with financial data, manage accounting processes, stakeholder management and ensure deadline and quality adherence for the month- and year-end close.Manage your teams to prepare financial statements, performing financial analysis and audit tasks. You handle escalations, perform advanced processing for specific accounting activities of a more complex/sensitive nature and provide sign-offs or approvals where needed.Serve as direct contact for the Group Auditor for the Finance Operations. In addition, you leverage your expertise to constantly seek out better ways of performing processes, to contribute to process excellence initiatives, to support operational performance reporting activities and to ensure qualification, motivation and development of your teams Who you are:A Chartered Accountant as recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.Advanced degree or Certifications in Finance, Accounting (e.g., CIMA, CMA, MBA) would be an added advantage.Understanding of Accounting to Closing process is strongly mandatory.Good understanding of end-to-end processes such as Invoice to Cash, Record to Report, Financial Planning and Analysis, Credit Management, Collections, Cash Application, Intercompany Accounting, Product Costing and Asset Management. IFRS and Statutory AccountingRequires substantial professional work experience of several years (12+ years) in the areas of Group Accounting/ Consolidation, Accounting and Reporting in a GBS and Audit. Senior expertise in Accounting, Audit and Tax as well as deep knowledge of reporting processes in a company. Audit experience – ideally in a big4.Working several years in a cross functional environment.Strong experience in managing cross-cultural team.Strong communication skills in a top leadership environmentMaintain an excellent stakeholder collaboration.Flexible, responsible, result-oriented and can work under pressure.Fluent English language skills are required.
