Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Platform Implementation Consultant with proven experience delivering end-to-end platform implementations across enterprise marketing automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Oracle Responsys, Eloqua, Braze, or similar platforms. This role is heavily focused on hands-on implementation, configuration, integration, and go-live enablement, supporting large-scale, data-driven marketing programs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute end-to-end marketing automation platform implementations, from requirements analysis and solution design through configuration, testing, and production rollout.
Own platform onboarding and setup, including account configuration, security roles, user access, and environment readiness (DEV / QA / PROD).
Design and implement scalable data models, contact schemas, audience segmentation, consent management, and preference centers aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Translate marketing and business requirements into platform-agnostic solution designs, customer journeys, and campaign frameworks.
Design, build, and execute omni-channel customer journeys across Email, SMS, Push, In-App, and Web channels using the assigned platform.
Implement journey orchestration logic, including triggers, decision splits, suppression rules, scheduling, and lifecycle-based targeting.
Implement and validate CRM, CDP, and third-party integrations using APIs, SFTP feeds, and real-time or batch/event-driven data ingestion.
Collaborate with data and engineering teams to design and deploy event-driven and batch integration patterns, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and go-live readiness checks prior to production deployment.
Implement dynamic content, advanced personalization, and decisioning logic using platform-native scripting and templating tools.
Enable and lead experimentation frameworks, including A/B and multivariate testing, journey optimization, and behavior-driven messaging.
Ensure campaigns and implementations adhere to platform governance, security, privacy, performance, and deliverability best practices.
Lead system testing, UAT support, and production deployment, resolving implementation defects and ensuring post-go-live stability.
Analyze campaign performance, deliverability, and engagement using native analytics and external reporting tools; provide optimization recommendations aligned to KPIs.
Provide implementation documentation, configuration guides, and knowledge transfer to internal and client teams.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, product owners, and stakeholders, recommending best-fit platform capabilities and implementation approaches.
Work closely with architects, project managers, creative, QA, data, and engineering teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Support implementation planning, effort estimation, and risk management for marketing automation initiatives.
Define and promote platform-agnostic best practices, reusable frameworks, and standards across implementations.
Stay current with MarTech trends, platform enhancements, and deliverability guidelines.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability building within the practice.

Qualifications

6 to 7 years of hands-on experience with a strong focus on marketing automation platform implementations, not just campaign execution or operations.
Proven track record delivering multiple end-to-end implementations on enterprise platforms such as SFMC, Oracle Responsys, Eloqua, Braze, or equivalent.
Deep understanding of platform configuration, data modelling, journey setup, and integration enablement.
Hands-on experience with scripting, HTML/CSS, SQL, JSON, and dynamic personalization concepts.
Experience with APIs, event-driven integrations, and data mapping.
Familiarity with CRMs, CDPs, and data platforms (e.g., Salesforce CRM, Segment, Snowflake, BigQuery) is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
Platform certifications are added advantage.
