The Indian accounting organization supports accounting, financial reporting, internal control, inter company, transfer pricing activities and support new business launches.

We are currently looking for candidates who are at the finance manager level. Successful candidates for this position will have the equivalent of 8+ years of professional experience with financial accounting, reporting and internal control related responsibilities.

This position will have responsibility for supporting all parts of our financial reporting process and will be expected to understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area. Technical accounting research and position paper writing will also be a requirement of this position.

This position is expected to have a good sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between accounting and various business finance, operations accounting and IT groups.

Primary responsibilities include: Accounting and analysis of our Lending business, driving month close activities, consolidation etc. Driving efficiencies in business processes and guiding business teams on accounting areas. Evaluating accounting positions for new projects and writing technical position paper. Partnering with the members of other teams and/ or other geographies to set up and/ or develop process improvement initiatives. Working in various GAAP frameworks to meet the requirements of territory specific regulations as well as consolidation at a global level. Partnering with the members of the global team to ensure SoX compliance.

Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include: Accounting and analysis of Amazon's lending business. Driving the month close activity, consolidation process. Ensuring compliance with SoX requirements. Driving efficiencies in business processes and guiding business teams on accounting areas. Evaluating accounting positions for new projects and writing technical position paper. Partnering with the members of the global accounting organization to develop process improvement initiatives, and assist in the identification of accounting standards for global consistency.- 8+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.) experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 5+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 5+ members experience
