Sr Product Manager, Listings, EM SX

Every day, millions of customers rely on Amazon to give them access to one of the world's largest selection of consumer goods. Catalog is foundational to Amazon retail, acting as the base for both the customer and fulfilment shopper CX. At same time, we need to make the catalog creation process aka Listings simpler for our sellers. Our vision is to enable SPs of any size to list their selection quickly, easily and in a self-service manner. The EM SX Listings team creates tools to enable sellers to create high quality listings on amazon with minimum friction. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to own & drive improvements to simplify seller experience in listings their products on Amazon across desktop, mobile and APIs.

Key job responsibilities
The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the effortless creation of Amazon listings by sellers. The role entails the crucial responsibility of empowering selling partners, comprising both sellers and vendors, to efficiently and effectively list their products on the Amazon marketplace. The goal is to ensure that these product listings maintain their buyability for the maximum possible duration, all while simplifying the process and minimizing hurdles for sellers to qualify for Amazon's platform.
The individual in this role will have end-to-end ownership, which includes defining the overall strategy, collaborating with engineering and machine learning teams to develop solutions, and meticulously monitoring metrics to track progress across Amazon's extensive eCommerce pipeline. Furthermore, they must grasp the intricacies of emerging markets and strategize accordingly for sellers within the Amazon ecosystem. This necessitates close collaboration with numerous global teams, often requiring the ability to influence without direct authority. It is also imperative that the role holder stays abreast of the latest technological advancements, including Large Language Models, and present a product strategy that leverages these innovations to simplify the listing process.
This role is highly influential, with significant business impact, and provides visibility to leaders both in India and across the global platform teams. Regular updates to senior leadership are essential, and it requires a high degree of ownership, a bias for taking action, and thinking on a grand scale in an environment where contributions are distributed among multiple stakeholders. Exceptional influencing skills are crucial to drive initiatives forward. Additionally, international connectivity is key, and the individual must be willing to invest in building networks with business and tech teams on a global scale.
A successful candidate for this role should have a proven background in product management, scaling systems with extensive data sets, and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced setting. Strong development experience, familiarity with software development cycles, and a history of managing large cross-functional projects are essential. Given the inherent ambiguity in the role, analytical thinking and superb problem-solving skills are also prerequisites, as many of the challenges are unique to Amazon's vast scale.

A day in the life
• Manage business and technical requirements, ensuring overall coordination, quality, and acting as the primary contact for global stakeholders of your products and goals.
• Collaborate with scientists, economists, and engineers to deliver scalable ML models and generate customer insights at scale, while building project roadmaps.
• Apply scientific, engineering, and business best practices to drive innovation.
• Create high-quality documents (narratives & PR FAQs) to articulate your vision and report on initiatives to senior leadership.
• Influence feature and priority decisions with tech and platform teams based on overall impact and speed to market.
• Advocate for the needs of Emerging Market customers

About the team
The Emerging Market Seller Experience (EM SX) team envisions Amazon as the preferred marketplace for Selling Partners in Emerging Markets. They strive to simplify the process for any Selling Partner to launch and expand a successful business on Amazon. The Listings team within this group develops tools and products that reduce friction for Amazon sellers when listing their products. Serving as the voice of sellers in Emerging Markets (including IN, MENA, APAC, LATAM), they create user-friendly, scalable solutions to address their unique needs.- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Basic knowledge of SQL
