Job Description

Work closely with Engineering/Product Management/User Experience across Play and WearOS.
Lead a growing team of full stack Software Engineers.
Build out capabilities needed for WearOS’s unique ecosystem needs, including associated cross form factor features on phones.
Deliver a premium, next-generation application storefront for WearOS.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging).
3 years of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of professional software development experience.
Experience in programming in Java or Kotlin.
Experience with Android development.
Experience with Google backend tech stack.
