Job Description

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.
Integrate user feedback, advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
Contribute to feature development in several areas of Android Studio tooling, including improvements and new capabilities in our application debugging and profiling tools.
Understand platform capabilities, technical constraints, and developer workflows to craft elegant and effective design solutions for a wide range of input modalities. You will model a builder mindset by exploring various solutions through prototyping and design.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product design or User Experience (UX).
3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
2 years of experience leading design projects.
1 year of experience working with executive leaders.
Experience with or interest in the intricacies of designing developer experiences, crafting intuitive and efficient workflows, making things developers want, and data visualization.
