Job Description

Grow Mobile (Android/iOS) Development team, set team roadmap, establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and coordinate resources with cross-functional partners.
Mentor and coach team members to help them grow in their career.
Collaborate effectively with the Books team based in the United States.
Influence the Books product, drive user engagement and satisfaction with the apps.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
Experience designing and building refined consumer-facing interfaces.
Experience with Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with advanced Kotlin features (e.g., Dagger, Jetpack).
Ability to implement effective user experiences.
