Job Description

Manage a team of SWEs to drive and execute both roadmaps and establish their impact on google search and other information retrieval products.
Collaborate with the Indexing Engine team and other partner teams to define the technical direction, scope, build alignment, and lead executions of projects.
Build a supportive and inclusive work environment for the team, and provide ongoing mentorship to develop and empower engineers.
Manage technical issues, decision making, and project management to help engineers achieve impact.
Collaborate with experimentation clients such as Web, Media, Shopping, to support customers’ strategic investment.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a technical related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience working in a changing organization.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
