Job Description

Build out capabilities needed for WearOS’s unique ecosystem needs, including associated cross form factor features on phones.
Deliver a premium, next-gen app storefront for WearOS.
Develop reliable code in Kotlin and Java, ensuring it's easy to maintain and test.
Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.
Apply Google's Android engineering practices and address technical debt to enhance the app's scalability and maintainability.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Play Beyond Mobile team brings Play Store and the apps ecosystem to any Android device which is not a mobile phone. This includes Chromebooks, tablets, AndroidTV, Android XR, Android AutomotiveOS, and WearOS.
