Systems Analyst 3-IT
Job Description
As a System Engineer II you will be responsible for supporting Oracle Cerner Health Care Client’s IT Infrastructure involving management of - VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon and Citrix infrastructure. You will be expected to deliver Systems Management Support through 24X7 On-Call duties & work shifts that provide coverage to all the US time zones.
Must have skills:
- Good understanding of Server virtualization and VDI - Horizon and Citrix.
- Design, deploy, and manage VMware Horizon infrastructure including Horizon View, Horizon Agent, and Horizon Connection Servers.
- Develop and implement VDI architecture that meets business needs and performance requirements.
- Configure and manage virtual desktops, applications, and user environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to the VDI environment.
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the stability and performance of the virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff regarding VDI-related issues.
- Perform upgrade activities on Horizon, vSphere.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for VDI architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Prepare and present reports on VDI performance, issues, and resolutions to management.
- Secure the infrastructure with latest OS patch, drivers & firmware.
- Develop SOP documents and implement best practices.
- Support 24x7 On-call and troubleshoot critical events.
- Perform capacity planning.
Good to have skills:
- Hands on experience on managing Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS and HP blade servers.
- Train and mentor junior Engineers on Server Virtualization solutions.
