Senior Software Developer
Job Description
This is a ‘Senior Member of Technical Staff’ position within the 'Database test & tools development' group. We are responsible for developing software test plans, automation, applying and maintaining quality standards for Cloud and on-premise database releases for various platforms, with adherence to both internal and external standards. Test development requires good understanding of Python, Perl,Shell,Unix/Linux internals, storage technologies, security, DBA activities. And these tests on farm depict typical customer or cloud environments.
The candidate will be a member of a team that consists of automation experts, with a strong track record of consistently delivering high quality results.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Should be from reputed colleges/universities.
- 4+years of experience in QA methodologies and test automation.
Technical skills
- Expertise in Python, Perl, Shell scripting.
- Exposure working in framework design or enterprise level product or tools development.
- Good understanding of Oracle Database and RDBMS concepts.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix. Exposure on one or more Unix/Linux porting technology is desirable.
- Good understanding in testing/QA methodologies (functional,system,performance) and test automation.
Soft Skills
- Should enjoy product test development, observant and curious.
- An attitude to automate repeating tasks and work discipline.
- Passionate for the work and flexible to switch between projects.
