Job Description
Be a part of the SaaS Engineering Org with the Frontline Technical Services (FTS) Team to provide enterprise-wide DevOps support for production systems across varied platforms such as Oracle SaaS@Customer, Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer(DRCC), Taleo and Responsys, and provide DevOps services to application development teams, including database production support over traditional deployment platforms as well as Cloud platforms like OCI. Provide DevOps support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of complex nature to ensure user productivity.
Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services. Design and develop designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. Facilitate service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning. Must have a thorough understanding of Basic Cloud Concepts (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) and should be willing to work in 24x7 shifts including night shifts.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Candidate should have at least 5-7 years of experience supporting enterprise-grade systems as a DBA, Apps DBA or DevOps Engineer, with a focus in Oracle and related tools. Exposure and practice at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. Experience in Automation and Scripting with an IT-Operational background and IT Infrastructure workflows and frameworks is desirable. 4 year BE degree or equivalent desired.
