Job Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in Global Banking Services team in Mumbai. They are responsible to perform the full front to back process of opening and closing external bank accounts within the Asia / EMEA and US regions.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Team Manager position at Vice President level within within Core Services, which is responsible for managing the timely and accurate processing of corporate events, which effect security positions and entitlements held by our clients and proprietary trading desks.

What you'll do in the role:

Working closely with business partners across Ops, and Technology to manage various change initiatives
Act as the liaison between the internal teams, leadership team, and other key client stakeholders
Facilitate discussions of business process reengineering, leading practices, and specific fit/gap issues
Subject Matter Expertise: Develop current and in-depth knowledge of GNM and GBS function for better understanding of requirement of ops and business users
Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvement
Perform feasibility and impact assessments for scalable system improvements
Drive various change initiatives by gathering requirements, drafting and finalising JIRA write ups, testing changes, tracking metrics, report status updates, sending internal communications to internal and external stakeholders
Oversee and execute testing of enhancements and new functionalities and coordinate the UAT signoffs before production release & handle escalations
Handle monthly submissions and attestations on the back of various local regulatory requirements
Review and manage submission of data for various firm audits and due diligence requirements
Prepare and distribute GBS senior management reporting

Attention to detail and accuracy is essential;
Highly motivated self-starter with multi-tasking abilities; ability to prioritize appropriately
Entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility – particularly in dealing with changing environments and different stakeholders
Desire to work in an environment strong in teamwork, commitment and excellence
Desire to build a career within the financial services sector
The successful candidate will be a graduate with at least 2 years relevant work experience
Sound understanding of operations
