Job Description

Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.

3 - 6 years of ETL development experience with minimum 3+ years using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for batches implementation.
•    Strong understanding of SDLC, OLAP, OLTP, data warehouse, datamart development, fact and dimensional design methodology.
•    Experience in database design, relational and dimensional data modelling.
•    Should have experience of interacting with customers in understanding business requirements, translating them into ETL specifications and high/low level design documents.
•    Strong knowledge of ELT/ETL concepts with hands-on experience working with latest ODI version with various transformations.
•    Ability to design and develop ODI mappings, packages, load plans, user functions, variables and sequences.
•    Experience working with multiple source/target systems such as Oracle, XML files, flat files, MS SQL Server, etc.
•    Experience in invoking web services through ODI, error handling, data migration using ODI.
•    Exposure to CDC/Journalizing implementations and customizing knowledge modules as per the requirement.
•    Experience of creating PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, MVs and exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking and migrating complex datasets.
•    Should be able to tune existing ODI mappings and optmize SQL queries using best suitable technique.
•    Experience with shell scripting is mandatory.
•    Exposure to scheduling tools like ControlM, Autosys will be an advantage.
•    Must have good verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.
•    Preferred candidate from a financial industry.
