Job Description

The job involves developing and maintaining a deep understanding of tax and regulatory rules governing key aspects of Global Mobility, while staying updated with any developments or amendments in these areas. The role requires performing research analysis on International Tax Treaties and Totalization Agreements, and managing the India Certificate of Coverage for the company's expat employees. Responsibilities include analyzing the company’s Global Mobility report and preparing an authorization list to identify employees requiring expat tax services. Additionally, coordination with vendors is required to address queries and ensure expat tax compliance, along with reviewing International Work Requests from a tax perspective. Another key responsibility is managing payroll tax accruals and professional fee accruals. Tracking annual tax compliance for authorized assignees and ensuring that all authorized annual tax returns are filed by tax vendors within the agreed timelines is also essential. The role includes preparing Japan’s Bank Reconciliation statement for annual tax payments and managing the Expat Tax general inbox to ensure timely responses to all emails. The candidate will compile information for statutory reports and internal tax reporting, as well as ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns, is also required. Additionally, preparing Indian tax returns for outbound employees claiming treaty relief and handling tax equalization settlement calculations are part of the job. Lastly, the position involves recommending process improvements to enhance Expat Tax operations.
