JOB DESCRIPTION
Skill: IBM Mq
Role / Tier: Tier 2
Roles and Responsibilities
this role you will be
Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ software across various environments, including development, testing, and production.
Monitor MQ queues, channels, and other components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Develop and implement MQ security policies and access controls to safeguard message data.
Troubleshoot and resolve MQ-related issues, such as message delivery failures, performance bottlenecks, and system errors.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as applying patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
Collaborate with application developers and system architects to design and implement MQ solutions that meet business requirements.
Document MQ configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Provide training and support to end-users and other IT staff on MQ usage and administration.
Participate in on call rotation and respond to MQ related incidents outside of normal business hours as needed.
Stay upto date with IBM MQ technology trends and best practices to continuously improve the messaging infrastructure.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
Proven experience as an IBM MQ Administrator or similar role in a large scale enterprise environment.
Indepth knowledge of IBM MQ architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
Handson experience with MQ clustering, queue managers, channels, and message formats.
Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, and security principles.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with crossfunctional teams.
IBM MQ certification IBM Certified System Administrator MQ is a plus.
