Job Description
In this role you will Project Management Assist business stakeholders Global Operations with the decomposition of complex business requirements into Epics and User Stories that can be delivered by Technology teams Global Operations and Automation via respective backlogs with minimum cross product coordination
Be responsible for coordinating/leading end to end execution across all parties or work streams, including 3rd party vendors in order to deliver the strategic aims of the organization, meeting the appropriate levels of quality through the project lifecycle.
Work with Technology Platform Teams and Product Owner to drive continuous service improvements through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies Scrum, Kanban and corresponding management of dependencies
Identify and escalate, using sound judgment, significant challenges/impediments, and risks to key stakeholders. Contribute to managing and controlling risks and issues and assist in providing appropriate contingencies.
Have awareness and adherence to HSBC Group compliance policy. Keeping up to date with internal Bank process changes that impact the role
Be responsible to ensure commercial realization/benefits are tracked and met and that all Stakeholders are kept informed of progress and issues via standard reporting and escalation mechanisms.
Take responsibility for delivering IT Service Acceptance process as part of project delivery.
Contribution to Management Information and Reporting as covered by HSBC guidelines. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within IT, Global Businesses, Finance. Adopt a joined-up approach, to execute change at pace and with minimal conflict
Use Jira and confluence to support project delivery where applicable. Directly responsible for successful delivery of Technology initiatives.
Initiative outputs may form part of a technology based change programme, delivery of a technology only programme, or may be standalone.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Have good understanding of Project Management principles and standards including Waterfall, Agile methods.
Must have strong Scrum Master skills.
Have Excellent written/verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex IT issues to non-technical people in the business and converse business requirement to technical colleagues.
Be naturally takes ownership for issues and conflicts and the ability to direct and influence people.
Have Outstanding Relationship Management and collaboration qualities.
Have broad knowledge & experience using industry wide tools such as Jira, Confluence, CA Clarity & MS Project.
Strong analytical experience in business requirements gathering to develop Technical Project scope is essential
Have Good financial understanding with ability to apply financial reasoning with business activities and conclusions.
Track record of demonstrating Risk and Compliance awareness
Have Previous experience of delivering Technical Infrastructure Programmes/Projects.
Complete Graduation or equivalent.
Experience of 4-8 years having worked as a Scrum Master.
Experience of having worked in a global organization desirable.
Must have proven experience in PI Planning and/or Sprint Planning preparation and facilitation.
Experience of driving continuous improvement.
