ShipTech is the connective tissue, which connects Transportation Service Providers, First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile to facilitate the shipping of billions of packages each year. Due to criticality of the ShipTech systems, world-wide (WW) Amazon business organizations work with ShipTech every year to deliver their programs for network expansion, operational efficiency improvement, new feature delivery to enhance customer/operator experience, compliance asks, etc. WW requestors submit intakes to deliver: (1) on-boarding new shippers, carriers, and services to the shipping network, (2) facilitating package movement and tracking in Amazon and third-party (3P) network, (3) changes in carrier artifacts like a label and manifest, (4) carrier configurations like routing codes, account ids, and (5) custom tech-builds for meeting business specific asks delivered by ShipTech every year (6) support improvement in the quality of Amazon’s worldwide shipment infrastructure by defining the usage, configuration, and standardization of transportation milestones
We are looking to hire a Business Analyst to join our Program team for improving visibility and tracking capabilities for Amazon shipments. In this role, you will support the program team by developing data sources and metrics, formatting easy to consume reporting, and understanding existing challenges with data and how they can be presented differently to influence change to deliver against key business goals. The candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working with large complex datasets, possesses strong analytical skills, and is an effective communicator. Cross-team coordination and collaboration skills are essential.

An ideal candidate for this role:
1. Will have relevant experience in data analytics working with large data sets and to extract and transform data using various tools and technologies
2. Will transform data into actionable business information, and will make it readily accessible to stakeholders worldwide
3. Will use data to support ideas, drive actionable outcomes, and provide unique ways to present data and information in an easy to consume format
4. Will be passionate about finding root causes, trends, and patterns and how they impact business.
5. Will draw inferences and conclusions, create dashboards and visualizations of processed data
6. Will have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with operations owners to understand key business questions to build reports that enable product owners to answer those questions quickly and accurately
7. Will be very comfortable juggling competing priorities and handling ambiguity
8. Will thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment on highly visible projects and initiatives

A day in the life
We are a team of program managers who work across 20+ platform tech teams. Our stakeholders are transportation teams across regions. We contribute to several large-scale high-visibility programs each year such as network expansion projects like market place launches and carrier launches, and new feature build outs to provide enhanced customer experience or better operational efficiencies. We also support several compliance programs across our worldwide stakeholders. We are looking for a business analyst to work with global business customers and our engineering teams for developing automated reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions. This role will require effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Hyderabad, TS, IND- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
