AGI Data Services is a global Machine Intelligence Data Services organization that provides a broad range of data labeling services for Machine Learning technologies such as Automatic Speech Recognition, Natural Language Understanding, Entity Resolution, Text-to-Speech, and Question Answering within and beyond the Alexa organization.

As a SysDev Engineer, You design and deliver technology solutions which solve difficult business problems for AGI Customers. You identify and solve ambiguous problems, architectural deficiencies, or areas where your team’s systems hinder the innovation of other teams, and are learning to do this for other teams in your organization. You consider the legacy of the systems you build with your team and how they will scale and evolve over time. Your solutions are pragmatic, efficient, and cost-effective. You make appropriate trade-offs and re-use or extend prior work where possible. When faced with short-term workarounds, you either avoid them entirely, take action to replace them with long-term solutions, or escalate their over-use as necessary. You thoroughly test your work. You automate and simplify development, test, and operational processes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for working on behalf of the customers and have the ability to operate independently, autonomously and able to manage ambiguity. In addition to the technical skills, maturity, judgment, communication skills, negotiation skills and influencing skills are all essential as you interact with cross functional teams worldwide. A successful team member will be skilled at anticipating bottlenecks, balancing business needs with technical constraints, and taking calculated risks to maximize value.

Key job responsibilities
The position requires:
1. A combination of strong system design knowledge, troubleshooting and mitigating production issues
2. Identify and implement process improvements which improve your team’s agility. This may include improvements to design, automation, development, test or operations.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Hyderabad, TS, IND- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
