The EU Transparency team is a start-up team within Amazon that will be responsible for launching and establishing the Transparency service for consumer brands in EU.
We are seeking an experienced marketing professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and has a passion for diving deep into the customer lifecycle; driving strategy, execution, and post event analysis of events.
The Marketing Specialist will develop bar-raising content; drive the strategy and execution of campaigns; and dive deep into post campaign analysis to ensure all activities are delivering against predefined targets. This role will collaborate with stakeholders from across business units and will be responsible for driving campaign metrics.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is energized by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment. She/he will be comfortable working in an environment with minimal supervision, and across multiple functions to drive consensus among stakeholders across various teams. Keys to success will be the ability to utilize customer insight and data to develop marketing programs, own topical and high-value events for the categories and design high engagement campaigns. The candidate will be comfortable in analyzing data, gathering actionable conclusions and delivering stretch results in a fast-paced environment.
The role will own building strategy for the function, interface with EU Sales and business leaders, work closely with product teams to drive product development that matter to our Sellers, and own delivering results through an extended team of Account Managers. The successful candidate will have to thrive in an ambiguous environment, be able to think big to build/contribute to multi-year business strategies, be able to influence and work with multiple internal teams, and develop processes and mechanisms that are scalable, and improve Seller Experience. Further, the ideal candidate is a business owner who understands the key levers to drive business growth and can operationalize those levers across their team. They have a passion for people leadership and are at their best when they’re building, developing and managing high-performing teams.
Since this is a relatively new space for Amazon, and an emerging industry, you will be dealing with some ambiguity and convincing brands to become early adopters of our service. As a strategic contributor to the Transparency team, you will have the opportunity to dramatically accelerate adoption of Transparency by applying sound sales practices, inventing and simplifying job functions, and training your peers on best practices for efficiency.
Key job responsibilities
- Creating and executing an end-to-end demand generation strategy. This includes outreach to existing sellers.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to develop and drive the on-site strategy
- Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across regional and global stakeholders
- Own all key traffic drivers; and own creation of marketing programs, and multiple key traffic drivers, to acquire new customers.
- Conceptualize, design and execute onsite, online and offline marketing initiatives to extend awareness
- Develop, test, and execute multi-channel marketing plans to drive customer acquisition
- Conduct in-depth analyses to determine marketing effectiveness and continuously improve efficiency
- Understand and use merchandising and customer-facing metrics to guide decision making.
- Meet business goals while ensuring a top-notch customer experience
- Own projects with considerable scope and/or complexity with significant impact on customer experience
- Learn and be curious and stay on top of key trends - 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience in a marketing role
