Job Description

Work closely with partners to define protocols and technologies. Bring new payment protocols to Payments Platform and Google Play.
Design and implement end-to-end payment solutions for Google Play. Communicate and collaborate with the United States counterparts as needed.
Guide and mentor team members for development and deployment of new solutions.
Support full-stack development platform for forms of payment and buyflows using FoPs.
Work on the stack to build scalable backends.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Experience with Software Engineering, Leadership, Stakeholder Management, or Software Architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with software development with one or more general programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or Go).
Development experience with Unix/Linux.
Ability to design end-to-end flows across components.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with other teams (including international teams). Ability to mentor, guide/coach junior engineers on the team.
Experience with design, coding, distributed systems, payments protocols, compliance and security, algorithms, payment systems, payments, Google infrastructure, payments compliance, or data science.

In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.
