QA Analyst 2-ProdDev
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategy, test plans, and test cases for new features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements and provide feedback early in the development cycle.
- Perform thorough functional, regression, and performance testing across our product suite, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Design and implement automated test flows to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct quality reviews and provide input on best practices for testability and quality assurance.
- Mentor and support junior QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality within the team.
- Analyse test results and report on quality metrics to stakeholders, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in a product-based environment.
- Proficiency in testing web applications and services, with hands-on experience in API testing and database testing.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. SQL, Oracle DB) and ability to write complex queries for data validation.
- Solid understanding of SOAP and RESTful APIs and experience with tools for testing and monitoring APIs.
- In-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium) is a plus.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
