System Administrator 4-IT
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator to join our CloudOps team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our servers, systems, and networks. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure.
Experiences, Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science and 8+ years experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or comparable experience with other leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong Technical background with an ability to troubleshoot issues impacting large scale service architectures and application stacks.
- Experience with Linux and setting up/maintaining web servers.
- Experience in Containerization using Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with REST APIs and the concepts of RESTful architecture.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues impacting large scale service architectures and application stacks.
- Excellence in verbal and written communication.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with strong customer service orientation.
- Demonstrable experience in scripting/programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, etc.
- Configuration and maintenance of applications such as Middleware (Apache Webserver, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic), Configuration Management (Puppet, MCollective, SALT), and CI/CD tools (Git, SVN, API & CLI, Jenkins).
- Hardware and Software Load Balancing, basic knowledge of firewall and networking architecture.
