The team is responsible for building Developer and Consumer experiences for the Voice Experience enablement and support on Fire TV. The team uses architectural and design principles to develop software platforms that handle the scale and latency constraints. This team has the opportunity to work closely with the AI stack, owning experts, action apis and other key technical components required to contribute to Alexa+ capabilities

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to lead the development of scalable software solutions and services for handling the consumer experience. Ideal candidate should have proven expertise in designing scalable and low-latency systems, working across technologies, and mentoring junior engineers.

To be successful you'll need to have experience with Java, TypeScript, experience of SOA, experience working with databases, handling scale, and excellent communication skills. You must be a fast, efficient coder and make coding and design decision with multiple simultaneous dimensions in mind. You will be part of technical leadership team of Amazon development center and will have the chance to lead the product architecture and team-building effort.

Key job responsibilities
* Help develop technical roadmap, strategy, customer experience and roadmap for FireTV product initiatives
* Facilitate the technical architecture between multiple complex systems.
* Create buy-in for the technical vision and strategy both internally and with key external partners
* Proactively identify and resolve technical risks and issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic or technical goals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional team to deliver the best product for our customers
* Experience leading a high performance team and a track record of mentoring
* Communicate clearly to leadership the risks, successes, and roadblocks as part of your product execution

About the team

This is an opportunity to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of products used every day by people you know. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
