Software Development

o Moderate level ability in software development, such coding assignments

o Function as member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)

o Writing code and unit tests, automation, and conducting code reviews and automate testing.

o Debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation.

o Enable the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments.

o Automate deployments in test or production environments.

o Automatically scale applications based on demand projections.

o Demonstrate increased self-reliance to achieve team goals.

o Influence team members with creative changes and improvements by challenging status quo and demonstrating risk taking ability.

o Serving as a core member of an agile team that leads user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops software applications.

o Responsible for the applications architecture / technical design & build, work/coordinate with other team’s architect, engineers, and vendors as necessary

o Identifying exciting technology modernization opportunities for adopting new open source-based technology tools & products to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges.

o Performing ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement.

o Working with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.

o Contribution in complex Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence project implementations

o Experience in working directly with business customers.

o Defining and implementing data integration architecture

o Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.

o Quickly generate and updating proof of concepts for testing and team feedback

o Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices.

Minimum 4 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience:

o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent is required with hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing.

o Profound Knowledgebase with Java, Spring, Spring-Boot Open source and building RESTful APIs

o Expert Java; fluency with Java 8 streams.

o Knowledgeable and experienced with real time framework, data streaming like Kafka, Filnk), in-memory computation and data virtualization tools & techniques.

o Knowledgeable and experienced with scripting languages such as Python is preferred.

o Strong UNIX shell scripting skills

o Thorough understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service technologies, and data structure fundamentals

o Highly proficient in SQL and PL/SQL; Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements; Strong PL/SQL skills including complex query building and query performance tuning.

o Experience with DevOps tools, automating engineering and operational tasks.

o Strong Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling (relational, dimensional data modeling)

o Familiarity with Time Series Databases, monitoring, instrumentation, observability tools and concepts

o Provide technical recommendations to improve efficiency of Data Management /ETL process.

o Strong dB query optimization & performance tuning skills. The ability to analyze and resolve performance issues within variety of operational environments quickly and efficiently.

o Create/ maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, constraints, and SQL code, and stored procedures and shell scripts.

o Familiar with Data Warehouse concept, ETL design, development, and maintenance with successful implementation of large Enterprise BI solutions

o Experience with design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate

o Knowledge in objected oriented analysis and design across a variety of platforms.

o Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing.

o Ensure data quality and integrity within each data set and support linkage to other appropriate data sets in consistent manner. This includes testing and validating any new database design against previous data structures.

o Demonstrated ability to analyze data concerning production volumes, batch schedules, and i/o statistics.

o Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.

o Experience with a broad range of software languages and financial business domain knowledge will be a plus.
