Job Description

Position Requirement
7-8 years of proven experience in developing and working Tableau driven dashboards, analytics and production support.
Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbook.
Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.
Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions. A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modeling, and normalization
Advanced Tableau development skills required
Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports
Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Visualization
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into effective Tableau visualizations, including complex calculations, parameters, and custom filters.
Design and build interactive dashboards that effectively communicate key business metrics and trends, ensuring ease of use for diverse audiences.
Perform data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation to prepare data for analysis within Tableau.
Utilize advanced Tableau features like data blending, set actions, and calculated fields to create dynamic and insightful dashboards.

Production Support and Maintenance:
Monitor Tableau server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data refreshes to ensure smooth dashboard delivery.
Manage user access, permissions, and data source connections on Tableau Server.
Identify and implement performance improvements to maintain optimal dashboard loading times.
Address production support requests, including resolving data inconsistencies, visualization errors, and user-related queries.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
Guide and mentor junior Tableau developers on best practices, coding standards, and data visualization techniques.
Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure data quality and timely data refreshes.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing dashboards and develop new data analysis capabilities.
Technical Expertise
Deep proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server administration, including data connections, data modeling, and security configurations.
Expert knowledge of SQL and data manipulation techniques to extract and transform data from various sources.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
