The Fashion and Beauty market segment opportunity in India is incredibly large -- estimated at $200B by 2026. The size of prize makes this category one of the most exciting and hotly contested consumer opportunity in the Indian internet landscape. Fashion and Beauty is also the biggest contributor in getting new customers for Amazon, making winning in this category extremely important. The Softlines and Beauty teams are organized to make decisive progress in this must win and critical priority for A.in.
The focus of the marketing organization is to build an endearing equity for Amazon Fashion and Beauty and thereby inspire the Indian customer to shop on A.in, ensuring we are present where the customers are and continuously giving our customers new reasons to shop from us, especially via leveraging the Amazon Sales events (HVEs).
The marketing team is seeking a driven, analytical, and highly motivated Senior Marketing Manager to evaluate, develop, and then execute the playbook for customer inputs, merchandising, traffic, marketing, deals and engagement plans for all Fashion and Beauty high-velocity events (ARTs, WRS and monthly shopping festivals). This role will handle all cross-site and Fashion-specific events, ensure robust planning, coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and execute events flawlessly. She/he will also identify opportunities to enhance customer acquisition and engagement via Events, benchmark ourselves against competitors and create new properties/programs to grow business scale. Additionally the candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the categories elevates the deal execution for all our customers.
The ideal candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically, be an innovative leader who is data driven, an effective communicator, capable of handling multiple projects at once, thrives in a rapidly-changing environment, and has strong communication and people management skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Own Fashion and Beauty events and deals charter improving customer experience across properties that contribute to +25% of Fashion and Beauty annual business.
- Independently manage, plan, coordinate and execute high-impact events by working seamlessly with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work with cross functional teams and internal teams, including technology teams, to define, drive, and launch improvements to the shopping experience during Events.
- Own creation of marketing programs, and multiple traffic drivers, to acquire new customers during events.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to determine program effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement in events playbook.
- Analyze, understand and use merchandising and customer metrics and financials to guide decision making.
- Present to senior management externally and internally- 9+ years of marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to stakeholders
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
