Job Description

Excellent verbal and written English. Advanced written and verbal communication skills are essential.
2. Evidence of at least 5 end-to-end SAP Deployments including the LEAD role in every Technical Cutover
3. Specific Core Competence within SAP – (SME Module)
4. Other technical competence levels within SAP – (additional SME modules to support application)
5. 6-8 years of previous release and/or project/portfolio management experience, (Solid understanding of project management methodology)
6. 8-10 years of experience in SAP / Non SAP Project systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
7. Release Manager needs to interface and communicate with PMO and Key stakeholders/Teams involved in Release Activities and are responsible to execute, Develop and Manages Release activities.
8. Release Manager must be confident enough to manage up and provide reporting as well as meeting updates to the Senior Team / Release Management
9. Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within Scheduled Plan across all landscapes and that they meet or exceed expectations
10. Coordinate release content and effort based on the Incidence / service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
11. Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
12. Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
13. Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
14. Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
15. Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
16. Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
17. Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
18. Weekly Release Reporting
19. Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
20. Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
21. Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
22. Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
23. Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
24. Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
25. Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
26. Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
27. Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
28. Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs
29. Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
30. Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
31. Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
