How will you make an impact in this role?

Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure.

  • Support alignment of risk reduction initiatives with the organization's overall risk management framework and business objectives.
  • Demonstrate understanding of process risk issues and mitigation strategies
  • Support identification and prioritization areas within BU processes that require risk reduction measures (e.g., assist in coordinating across First Line of Defense (1LoD) risk identification team)
  • Assist with execution on process risk reduction, leveraging enterprise support as needed to ensure timely resolution of vertical and horizontal (i.e., within BU or across processes that extend beyond the BU) issues that are of highest priority and/or most significant impact to the enterprise
  • Assist in conducting independent root cause analyses focused on identifying underlying process vulnerabilities to prevent potential Operational Risks (ORs), with a focus on the most common or high-risk issues and/or losses, based on comprehensive methodology (e.g., comprehensive risk-based prioritization) to prevent recurrence, and inform control design/ enhancement
  • Document control design effectiveness
  • Monitor and track the implementation of process changes, ensuring they are effective in reducing risk and align with the risk appetite
  • Document learnings from improving controls to elevate the process risk reduction capabilities within the BU and across the enterprise
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and ongoing improvement within the team
  • Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise
  • Creation and expansion of ICS Risk and Control Reporting, perform data analytics, identify trends, gaps, insights, and opportunities areas
  • Consistently deliver all key reporting packages to leadership, for ICS R&C programs that includes all major themes and insights from these programs
  • Pioneer Insights and Artificial Intelligence within the existing framework of ICS R&C Analytics that consumes all available Operational Risk Data to aid in decision making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders & cross functional teams to understand their reporting requirements and ensure delivery of customized reporting/MIS
  •  Drive effective quality checks and proactively identify any issues. Wherever applicable fix the same and as required partner with stakeholders to drive issue resolution. Accountable for technical/process documentation as required and in support of the project management methodology.
  • Create and maintain the best practice coding environment to ensure future code scalability and reuse.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes through automation, work with extended ICS Risk and Control teams to implement automation solutions for data management and report generation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience with Python, R, Tableau Developer or Tableau Desktop Certified Professional, Power BI, Cornerstone, SQL, HIVE, Advance MS Excel (Macros, Pivots).
  • 1-2 Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities  
  • Experience on Big Data, Data Science will be a definite advantage
  • Expert in all Microsoft applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Economics/ Engineering or related fields
  •  2-3 years of experience with data-driven analytics
  •  Preferred experience in financial services, risk management, internal control
  • Strong Analytical Skills, ideally with experience in handling variety of data sets and creating actionable insights to senior leaders and external partner.
  • Knowledge of risk management and key risk metrics
  • Qualitative solutioning /Problem solving in complex & unstructured environment
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and handle multiple workstreams and ad-hoc tasks simultaneously
