Job Description

GSRC is looking for a Program Manager for scaling classification vertical within Global Compliance Operations. The candidate will be responsible for building, implementing and scaling mechanisms that help GSRC to effectively scale its classification processes while at the same time reducing cost to serve. The role holder would partner extensively with Sr stakeholders across WW Operations teams, program stakeholders and also work with Tech leaders on building tech first solutions.

Key job responsibilities
• Work with all ORC verticals to build a deep knowledge of program specific compliance needs and corresponding business requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Program to understand the problems/challenges they face, and in parallel work with the Technology teams to understand their services, technologies and systems.
• Analyze program and project metrics and review them weekly and monthly to discover trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the risk is highest. Owns WBR / MBR / QBR metrics and review. Establish frameworks to balance risk with efficiency.
• Organizes Kaizen / Six sigma /ACES events to drive process/ quality improvements across functions/ programs, across GSRC.

The Operations Risk Compliance (ORC) organization keeps our customers and partners safe, protect associates, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance for Amazon. Global Solutions and Risk Compliance (GSRC) is the operational arm of the organization. GSRC partners with worldwide program teams to classify products and ensure Amazon’s product listings follow regulatory and legal compliance guidelines. GSRC supports regulatory compliance requirements for Amazon’s worldwide programs such as Dangerous Goods, Global Trade Services, Food Safety and EPR, Transport Risk Compliance and Environment Assurance Program. GSRC has offices across India, China, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, Jordan, and Costa Rica and supports compliance related needs.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Bangalore, KA, IND- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
