With the acquisition of MX Player, we have united two of the country’s largest free streaming platforms – Amazon miniTV and MX Player – to launch Amazon MX Player, India’s new home for premium, free ad-supported content. Now streaming to over 250 million users and scaling rapidly, Amazon MX Player is Amazon India’s flagship free AVOD (Ad-supported Video on Demand) service — a category-defining bet that combines world-class storytelling, unmatched scale, and innovative monetization. The service has launched some the biggest shows that India has seen - Aashram, HipHop India, Jamnapaar, Half CA, and more. MX Player’s native Local feature is available to customers in 27 countries and growing!

We are seeking an experienced tech leader to lead multiple teams of talented SDEs and SDMs, influence our overall tech strategy, contribute to big ideas, org plans for the next 1-3 years, and drive complex tech roadmaps. You will manage a team of subject matter experts and engineers to define features, system architecture and engineering best practices. You will inspire innovation, foster technical excellence, and ensure delivery of world-class products.

A key focus will be deploying AI-powered capabilities to not only reduce operational costs but also reimagine the customer experience. You will own high-visibility programs with global impact and collaborate closely with senior leaders across Product, Business, and Engineering.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can dive into a project with limited guidance and is able to design and lead inventive, simple solutions to complex problems. They will be passionate about new technologies, industry trends, early adopter of GenAI tools and have a track record of delivering valuable software features and products in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment. A commitment to team work, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements.- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
