Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SRE principles, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of our systems while implementing best practices for infrastructure automation and monitoring. The role demands expertise in deployment patterns, cloud infrastructure, and a strong proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, and Python.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available systems to meet performance and reliability targets.
Ensure high availability and resiliency of systems by applying SRE principles, such as service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and error budgets.
Collaborate with software engineering teams to build and improve automated monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices.
CI/CD Implementation and Optimization:
Lead the development and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines to support fast and efficient software delivery.
o Manage the deployment process and ensure seamless integration of code into production environments using Jenkins, Terraform, and other tools.
o Develop, maintain, and optimize workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment, ensuring high-quality code delivery and automated testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
SRE Expertise:
Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
CI/CD Experience:
Strong hands-on experience in setting up, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Experience with containerized application deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation pipelines.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Extensive experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
Experience with cloud infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Programming and Scripting Skills:
Proficient in Python for automating tasks and managing cloud environments.
Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
Frameworks & Best Practices:
Knowledge of ITIL and COBIT frameworks and the ability to apply best practices in incident management, service management, and IT governance.
Tools and Technologies:
Strong experience with Jenkins for automating deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of deployment strategies, including blue-green deployments, rolling updates, and canary releases.
