Responsibilities: Open Position-Mainframe Batch Operations Planner Our team Batch Planning You will be part of an innovative team as an IT Mainframe Operations Planner within Batch Planning. The Batch Planning team is an operational team part of the Mainframe Services organization and is responsible for batch scheduling and code promotion. Your contribution will be of high importance as your role is to create and maintain production and pre-production environments schedules and cooperate with development areas in responding to special processing requests and new processing requirements. You will be implementing changes and new solutions on the mainframe and on a part of distributed systems. The IT Operations Planner defines and maintains Bank's batch standards and performs troubleshooting and investigation of failing IT systems in production environment. Roles and Responsibilities- Prioritize and schedule batch jobs in TWS/OPC/IWSz (Tivoli Workload Scheduler), subject to schedule parameters including automated scheduling features in the Applications. • Create and maintain JCL (Job Control Language) according to our standards and policies. • Implement application changes: • JCL promotion • Code Promotion. • TWS/OPC changes (jobs, dependencies, special resources, schedules etc.) • DB2 changes • Working with Incidents, problems, and changes in the ServiceNow tool according to the ITIL foundation principles • Perform second level support on batch incidents. • Understand the dependencies between the many different systems (environments, LPARS, DB2 and Sysplex), online/batch processing and the importance of completion in time incl. output to be delivered as scheduled. • In the TWS/OPC, ensure that all jobs in production error queue are solved as part of the Incident process. • Know your way around standard ITIL process and principles. • Participate in small projects to improve quality or efficiency in our area and collaborate with the developers. • Coordinate and ensure Continuous Improvement with Development Managers to ensure continual improvement of quality in batch jobs, documentation, cooperation etc. Educational Requirements Bachelor of Engineering Additional Responsibities: Technical and Professional Requirements: Mainframe Batch Operations TWS/OPC, DB2,JCL
