The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational and training programs for our organization. This position requires a professional with strong experience in instructional design, adult learning theories, and project management to create engaging and effective learning solutions for our middle management team and other organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Design:

  • Develop and design instructional materials, courses, and programs, including e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, and performance support materials.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design theories to create engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences.
  • Use a variety of instructional methods, such as interactive activities, simulations, case studies, and multimedia.

Needs Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify learning and performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define learning objectives and outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze job tasks and work processes to ensure training is relevant and effective.

Content Development:

  • Create detailed instructional materials, including facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and assessments.
  • Develop storyboards and scripts for e-learning and multimedia content.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, current, and aligned with industry standards and best practices.

Project Management:

  • Manage instructional design projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs), graphic designers, and other team members to produce high-quality training materials.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Develop and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Analyze feedback and assessment data to determine the impact of training and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously update and refine training materials based on evaluation results and emerging trends.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and learning technologies 
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Ensure that all training materials are accessible and meet diverse learner needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theories.
    • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, canva, adobe suite & SAP enable now/ Oracle) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Additional Information:

  • This position may require occasional travel.
  • A portfolio of previous instructional design work may be requested during the interview process.
