Job Description

Responsibilities You will be responsible for maintaining Cognos TM1 cubes, DMR, and reports using Cognos TM1 solution and working with business users to design and develop reports using PAX, PAW.You will be a hands-on person, and deliver activities like Creation of Planning Analytics Application, Installation, Training, and Managing Project.You will manage the IBM Planning Analytics environment on IBM / Private / Hybrid Cloud.You will design a backup & DR strategy for each of the IBM Planning Analytics instance.You will be well versed with TM1 REST API, TM1PY capability and application.You may be expected to work on varied roles in the Project, based your skill and experience on business process and finance related technology. Interact with internal clients, developers and IT peers to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of modifications into the production environment.Analyze and translate business requirements to functional specifications and provide recommendations and the right solution design.Analyze problem statements, suggest various options to address the problem specifying functionality, integrating systems, applying patches, and participating in a multidisciplinary team environment.Analyzed change requests, provide estimations, prepare project plans, execute the work, adhere to quality, and follow client-defined standards and processes. Manage the timely refresh of monthly Actual data into TM1 based on business reporting requirements? Work with the technical support teams to identify the root cause of any issues (data or logic). Drive resolution of data exceptions (SAP/BW/FDW/TM1) to deliver recommendations to address the data issues on timely basis.Data Integrity Responsible for end-to-end data validation and corrective actions/maintenance to ensure data quality and integrity? Responsible for TM1 administration and data maintenance & TM1 user access administrationQuarterly review/audit of user access & Maintenance of TM1 user.Responsible for TM1 data maintenance and model control administration.Coordinate month end/ year-end requirements relating to TM1. Coordinate all planning cycle requirements relating to TM1 prior to version opening in TM1 Model ControlAbility to perform data discovery/quality analysis and architect a solution in TM1 based upon customer requirements using a typical Business Intelligence architecture.Analyze data across data sources to support requirements, identify integration and security requirements and support building the data architecture for the projectDesign and develop of Cognos processes using TM1/PA against various data sourcesCreates and maintains appropriate documentation – designs and implements standards Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise Minimum 3-5 years of TM1 specific experience including familiarity with TM1 Read/Write Min 2 + years of experience in IBM PAMin 2 + years of experience in IBM TM1Experience in at least 3 projects with complete software development lifecycleExperience in implementing at least 2 end to end IBM PA / TM1 projectscontention causes of TM1 performance issues, multi-thread queries, and MTQ programming methods.Knowledge of PAX and PAW reporting.Understands challenges of a globally used TM1 system, global connectivity methods, and global data load challenges.Hands-on experience with Turbo Integrator, complex TM1 rules programming, and best practices for writing dynamic and efficient rules.Exposure to programming and Rules for TM1 Cube to Cube data flows, Implementing Dynamic cube to cube models with the TM1 cubes having different dimensionalities.Must have an undergraduate degree, followed by relevant work experience in planning, budgeting and analytics.Advanced TurboIntegrator ScriptingAdvanced Rule and Feeder DevelopmentActive Forms and PAW Report DevelopmentTM1 Server AdministrationBasic SQL competenciesExperience with REST API is a bonusUnderstanding and ability to implement basic financial reporting principles such as P&L, Balance Sheet (Statement Of Financial Positions), General Ledger etc.Understanding of basic financial processes such as Forecasting and Planning, Consolidation, Currency Conversion, etc.
