Senior Engineer - VMware
Job Description
Job Summary: The VMware L3 Support Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for VMware environments. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, ensuring optimal performance of virtualized systems.Key Responsibilities:Provide Level 3 support for VMware products, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and related technologies such as VMware Aria Operations and Log Insight.Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to virtualization, storage, and networking.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of virtual environments.Implement and maintain best practices for VMware architecture and performance tuning.Conduct root cause analysis and develop documentation for knowledge sharing.Participate in on-call support rotation as required.Stay updated with the latest VMware technologies and trends.Hands-on experience with Nutanix and Hyper-V is a plus.Hands-on experience with Synergy and DL hardware.Hands-on experience with hyperconverged solutions like VxRail is a plus.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.10+ years of experience in VMware support or administration.Strong knowledge of VMware products and technologies.Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Certifications:VMware Certified Professional (VCP)VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)Conclusion: This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of VMware environments, requiring a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong collaboration skills.
