Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Master Data Operations. The Head of Master Data Operations will be responsible for overseeing the creation, maintenance, and usage of master data across various businesses. This role involves leading a large team of ~150 employees, with a focus on people management, team development, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data management principles, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive data quality and integrity initiatives. Leadership and Strategy:Develop and implement the strategic vision for Master Data Operations.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 150 data management professionals.Collaborate with senior leadership to align master data operations with business goals. People Management:Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.Develop and implement professional development and training programs.Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.Data Quality and Integrity:Drive initiatives to improve data quality, consistency, and accuracy.Implement data validation and cleansing processes.Monitor and report on data quality metrics.Manage master data lifecycle processes, including data creation, modification, and deactivation.Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.Provide training and support to data stewards and data users.Reporting and Analytics:Develop and deliver regular reports on data quality and operational activities.Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.Support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Who you are:Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).10+ years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of managing large teams and improving data quality and operational efficiency.Strong understanding of data management principles, data lifecycle, and data quality best practices.Experience with data management tools and technologies (e.g., MDM, data quality tools).Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in data management (e.g., DAMA, CDMP).Experience in a similar industry or domain.Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
